Every family who has a child with Additional Learining Needs requires help and support for both parents and child!

Counselling/coaching is an opportunity for parents to identify your family dynamics, both positive and negative and for me to work together with you to help create the best possible environment for your child to learn and grow in.

The initial consultation is all about your story, your experiences, your trials and triumphs from which we will work out a coaching plan involving 12 one hour sessions for the additional learning needs of your child. Following each session we will report back on progress and support you as parents in the process.

Coaching is the most effective and practical support parents can have for real progress with special needs children!

We would love to have the opportunity to work together with you and your child!

We have hugely appreciated Lenora's support for our family over the last 6 months. We have four children, three of whom are autistic. We have had a period of time home schooling followed by a gradual reintroduction into a mixture of mainstream and specialist schooling. Lenora has superbly supported us as parents and helped us to find a path forwards. She has exceptional experience working with children with autism and has a wealth of life experience. She has cleverly engaged with our children, using their own interests to facilitate learning. Lenora is creative and flexible in her approach and very trustworthy. We hope to continue benefitting from Lenora's support for sometime yet, her support is invaluable.

My son is a pre-schooler and has a diagnosis for ASD, he is non-verbal and has very limited attention. Lenora has such a special affect on him, she is able to take his lead, by joining in with what he is playing with and turns it into an interactive and educational game. She always seems to be able to get his attention and keep it longer than anyone else can! She has had him in group activities with older children and been able to adjust the activity for his needs and encourage interaction with others around him. As soon as she met him she was able to gauge how he communicated and how he processed his senses. I would say me and my husband are pretty in tune with our son, but Lenora comes as a close second! I would highly recommend her services and I look forward to the next steps my son will have in his journey with her.

Ex-Special Needs Teacher

This is an exciting new opportunity to meet the needs of an individual child in their own home or in a group setting. Lenora is experienced, professional, creative and enthusiastic! She can offer a wide range of support for different ages and subjects, all given with genuine care. As an ex-Special Needs teacher I can highly recommend Kolourful Unique!

Lenora is a great teacher and coach who really understands, loves and engages with the children she works with. My daughter has autism and finds it very difficult to separate from me. She has worked with Lenora a few times in a small group setting and this summer was able to be away from me for 5 hours each day for a week while working with Lenora!! Parents of autistic children will understand what I mean when I say this is amazing!! My daughter loves working with Lenora. Lenora is extremely well qualified and advocates child led learning. If you Home Educate, Lenora is able to tutor your child or run small groups to enable you to have a bit of time off. She tailors everything to your child's needs and is a real enabler for children with special needs. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend her services. ❤️

In the Netherlands I have worked with Lenora. I can warmly recommended her. She is committed to the children and love them. Lenora is honest and very tactful in the way she communicated and she has a warm personality! Good luck with your beautiful business Lenora! I want every child to be able to learn from you xx

My son has just had to re sit his GCSE English Language exam and I decided the best thing to do would be to get a tutor for him. I decided to call on Lenora when I read her expertise. My son has said he’s never felt so at ease with a teacher. Lenora makes the GCSE questions come alive. She’s motivated him, encouraged him and made a study plan to suit him and she’s done it in such a way that he’s continued to study for long periods of time (with breaks of course). Our biggest regret is not calling on Lenora sooner. You really get more than you pay for and we are so thankful. I would highly recommend Kolourful Unique. She has a way with drawing children’s gifting out and makes learning fun! Thank you Lenora we are so grateful x

We have been working with Lenora for over a year. She provides support for our 5yo son who has autism. Lenora has given our family knowledge, guidance and support whilst also helping educate and guide our son. She is so easy to work with and always listens and meets our son where he is at. He is so comfortable and happy around her, and willing to work with Lenora on all different things. We can’t thank her enough for the great work she is doing and look forward to continuing working with her.

Lenora has been supporting our Son with private tutoring services at home since March 2024. Our Son was at home full time and out of education as various main stream educational settings were unable to meet his needs. Lenora has had a huge positive impact within a very short period of time of supporting him. She was able to make an instant positive connection with him and I was able to witness him engaging in academic and playful activities positively in a short space of time which we were shocked to see after his precious negative experiences throughout School. Lenora has a calm and patient attitude and is very skilled with various resources to enable her to engage with children with additional needs and mental health issues. We have already seen how our Son is learning to communicate in a more positive manner and understand the complex world around him a little better. Not only is Lenora a qualified specialist education teacher she is also able to offer counselling support and therapeutic services which again have benefitted our family group massively. We look forward to more positive developments with Lenora and our Son.

Lenora has worked with us for 10 months now and I don’t know how we have managed before! She totally ‘gets’ our son and his struggles and she is amazing at helping him to sort through his emotions and suggesting ways he can do things differently. He is barely aware of this, he just thinks she comes to play and have fun. He feels so comfortable with her that his mask has slipped and see has seen exactly the issues we dealing with daily. She facilitates the children playing together which is usually a huge trigger for arguments and meltdowns. Sibling rivalry is immense in our household. Lenora also helps his sister to understand how to handle her brother and suggest ways she can deal with things too. I have taken the children on a day out with Lenora and we had a lovely time. This would normally be extremely stressful for me and there would be numerous meltdowns. We have noticed a difference in our son, he is not as angry as he used to be and he is now able to apologise to us after he has done/said hurtful things. We have not had any school refusal for many months now which had been becoming a problem before. Lenora has truly made our life a bit easier and knowing she is coming means we can have a bit of a break if needed or that there is someone there who understands and listens to us. Our whole family has benefitted greatly.

We want to express our heartfelt gratitude for the support Lenora (Kolourful Unique) has provided to our family. For several months, our daughter has struggled with school attendance, leading to her becoming isolated. Concerned about her mental health, we sought out appropriate support. From our initial conversation, I was immediately reassured of Lenora's suitability for our family and our daughter's needs. Beyond her professional expertise, Lenora’s compassionate approach stood out, fostering a sense of trust, and understanding. Her support not only eased our immediate concerns but also laid the foundation for a trusting relationship that has been invaluable in our daughter’s journey to progress. Lenora's dedication and knowledge of ALN have had a profound impact on our daughter's life. With her support, our daughter is gaining confidence, overcoming obstacles, and gradually finding her place in the world again. Lenora's remarkable depth of knowledge, particularly regarding complex issues like PDA, has allowed her to tailor support specifically to our daughter's needs. Her insightful understanding and proactive approach have ensured our daughter receives targeted interventions that give her the opportunity to progress. Lenora has been a lifeline, not only for our daughter but also for me as a mother. Her support during meetings and interactions with professionals and school staff has been invaluable. With Lenora by my side, I have felt empowered and heard, knowing that someone truly understands our daughter's needs and advocates for her every step of the way. Lenora's guidance and professional knowledge have not only transformed our daughter's educational journey but also provided me with the strength and confidence to navigate the challenges of parenting a child with ALN. I am profoundly grateful for Lenora's support and partnership on this journey.

We have developed these online teaching courses to help your children learn in an affordable, practical and fun way!

This course has been designed one for each age group: 6-7, 7-8, 8-9, 9-10 and 10-11 years all conforming to the National Maths Curriculum and is suitable for every child, whether home educated or attending school.

The entire course covers ten weeks, one video per week tackling 3 different Maths topics, each lesson starting with a fun animation featuring  teacher Miss Julie and two pupils Jamie and Jackie who introduce today's topic.
We will then guide your child, teaching them and helping them to understand each topic thoroughly, practising by answering the questions given and at the end of each topic, colouring in a smiley to show how it went.
The rest of the week your child can revisit this lesson to reinforce their understanding, whilst at the same time learning from the three worksheets per topic provided within the package.
Both triumphs and difficulties can be recorded on a question report form ready for me to answer and discuss when we meet up with your child after lessons 5 and 10 in a half hour facetime meeting.

This package is suitable for every child, no matter what their difficulty or ability, as they can work at their own pace, pausing the video and restarting as many times as they like, and if there is a difficulty we will be there to help and support during facetime.

We have done all we can to take the pressure off you by providing everything needed, all you have to do is print the worksheets and get started!

All this for the budget price of £300 for the entire package, which works out £30 a week or only £6 per lesson.
